Despite the hottest summer in history, Week 17 provided the second wash-out weekend in the Thames Valley Cricket League. All four teams started a game a various times but the rain eventually led all the matches being cancelled. So with one weekend left this is the state of play for each team.

1s

They are currently 3rd in Division 3A. Bracknell United 1s have won the league, but second spot is still up for grabs. Harpsden 1s are in the driving seat with a 5 point cushion over Ascot. So if Harpsden beat Boyne Hill 2s they will claim the second promotion spot. If they slip up, and Ascot beat Hurst Rangers 1s then they will take the spot.

2s

It has been a difficult season for the 2s and they are relegated in last place in Division 5B. But they will play for pride in their final match against Crowthorne & Crown Wood 1s, who need to win to confirm promotion.

3s

The 3s are in second place in Division 8C with a 23 point cushion above Holyport 2s. They need just one point against Finchanpstead 5s to confirm promotion. Cove 3s are 11 points ahead at the top and a win against Bracknell United 5s will confirm them as champions.

4s

The 4s have had a good season and currently 4th. Their match with 5th placed Crowthorne & Crown Wood 4s will be small battle to finish 4th in the league.
