Berkshire Youth Cricket League Update

So the Berkshire regular season is officially over, and it has been a great season with three teams making the play-offs.

The Under 15s finished second in Division 2 East with 2 wins and 3 defeats including good wins against Slough and Sandhurst with good performances from Alex Good (52 retired & 50 retired), Jacob Parry (41 not out) and Shaun Brady 3 for 20.

The Under 13s won all 5 matches in Division 1 East to win the league and now go into the play-off finals joining Finchampstead, Henley and Slough.

The Under 11s in Division 1 East finished fourth out of 9 teams with 5 wins out of 8 and the Under 11s had two teams in Division 2 East with the Royals winning their division with 8 wins and 1 cancelled match. They will go into the play-offs finals joining West Ilsley, Wargrave and Hurley – with a likely semi-final against Wargrave or Hurley.

The Knights finished 8th with one win.

The Under 9s won the East Division and everything came down to the last match against Cookham Dean, as both teams had 7 wins from 7 matches. In the end, Ascot won convincingly as they scored 129 for 6 while restricting Cookham Dean to 70 for 11.

The Under 9s potentially have a home semi-final against either Bradfield or Peppard Stoke Row with the winner playing either Wokingham or Braywood.
