Typical of the British Summer when we finally get cricket back on, then we lose a week to the rain! All four league matches started but none of the first innings were concluded.
The 1s were on the road at Sonning, and Sonning decided to bat first on winning the toss. However, a great opening spell from Nick Wiggett with 4 for 10, had Sonning in trouble at 42 for 4 from 13 overs before rain stopped play.
The 2s were at home to Bradfield. Bradfield won the toss and elected to field. The game was in the balance at 84 for 4 off 22 overs when the rain ended play.
The 3s were at Locks Ride against Wokingham 4s. The 3s won the toss and elected to field and were in a strong position as Wokingham fell to 75 for 8 off 22.4 overs when rain abandoned the match. Tim Howson 4 for 16 and Tom Dummigan 3 for 21 did the damage.
The 4s were at NPL 3s. NPL 3 won the toss and elected to bat first. They were on their way to a commanding score at 189 for 5 off 27 overs when rain ended play
