The last 4 weeks of the season see the return of limited overs matches for the 1s, 2s and 3s.

The 1s were on the road at Fleet 1s. Fleet made 229 for 4 off 50 overs thanks to 81 from Howard Bywaters and 60 from Harry Bywaters.

In response, Ascot were 38 for 4 and in the end managed to reach 155 all out thanks to 53 from Jack Turner and runs from the lower order.

The 2s were at home to Binfield 2s, Ascot won the toss and elected to field first. Binfield had to thank opener Steve Jeffrey as he scored over 60% of their runs with a solid 70 – only offering one very hard chance early on in their innings as they made 115 all out.

Mike Wyatt 4 for 30 and Naeem’s 3 for 20 were the pick of the Ascot bowlers.

Ascot lost wickets quickly and had to thank opener Dan Corsini who made 45 to keep Ascot in the game. Rob Handley 31 and Nick Wiggett 9 dug in for a vital 7th wicket stand but both fell with 10 runs still needed. However, Andy Wiggett and Naeem saw the 2s home for a 2 wicket win. Aryan Khanna took 3 for 29 for Binfield.

The 3s were the visitors at Wokingham 4s and elected to bat first on winning the toss. Murray Barter 38 and Tom Clarke 34 helped Ascot reach 168 all out in the final over. Roger Heath 3 for 26 and Jamie Cable 3 for 40 were the pick of the Wokingham bowlers.

Wokingham found runs hard to come by as Tim Howson 3 for 22 and Omair Sheikh 3 for 21 restricted Wokingham to 119 all out to close out the win for Ascot.

The 4s were at home to Bracknell 2s and elected to field first. Bracknell made 233 for 5 off 40 overs with Chris Chandler 51, Anil Iyengar 45 and Thiru Mohan 45 not out leading the way for Bracknell. Taffy Allen took 3 for 46 for Ascot.

In reply, the 4s subsided to 135 all out with Shagnik Banerjee top scoring with 35 as Shafiq Malik took 4 for 37.

On Tuesday evening, the Under 15s finally played their rearranged Berkshire League semi-final at Finchampstead. Despite the fact that Ascot had a couple of Under 15s missing and several Under 12s filling in, they did the club proud as they pushed Finchampstead to the final over, with Finchampstead winning with 4 balls to spare.
